Dan is a University of Queensland graduate with a degree in Exercise and Sports Science. Following the completion of his degree, Dan joined Smartabase as a sports scientist and has been with the company for 10 years. While working primarily in Australian Sport, Dan spent 18 months working in the UK/EU market and most recently in the US market. Dan has experience implementing Smartabase in various departments and levels of the sport, military, academia and performing arts industries.
Marcus is a University of Western Australia graduate with degrees in exercise and health science, and a PhD investigating injury risk modelling in Australian Football. He has over seven years of practical experience working in a sports science role with the West Coast Eagles (AFL), has lectured at the University of Western Australia, and won awards for his research contributions. As a senior consultant, Marcus has extensive experience implementing Smartabase in various departments and levels of the NBA, NHL, and AFL as well as the Australian and US militaries. He also plays a role in the innovation and development of our platform.
Maddison studied sport science at the University of Western Australia with a special interest in sleep. Maddison completed her PhD researching the the effects of using electronic devices on sleep and performance in elite athletes. Maddison has previously worked in high performance sport at the Australian Institute of Sport and the Western Australian Institute of Sport in the Physiology departments. She now works with a range of Smartabase clients, including national and international sporting institutes and universities.
Carolyn (Caz) is a University of Queensland graduate with a degree in exercise and sport science and experience implementing Smartabase in various high performance and business departments. Carolyn has extensive expertise working within rugby league and was previously a performance analyst for the Brisbane Broncos.
Eliza is a university graduate with an honours degree in Exercise and Sport Science. Eliza joined the Smartabase team as a practicum student in November 2018 and has now been in a full-time role since April 2019. Eliza has played a significant internal hand in the upgrade of our medical and scheduling workflows.
